Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician is directly responsible for supporting Onkos Manufacturing and Onkos Quality Control. Direct responsibilities will include component inspection, data collection, inspection plan generation, CMM programming, CMM inspection, optical comparator and data trending. Additionally, this role (as needed) will site visit manufacturing facilities within the Onkos Supply Chain to ensure new processes are compliant, inspection methodologies are consistent with Onkos Standards and root cause analysis as they relate to non-conforming product, are initiated, completed, and approved within a timely manner. Lastly, the Quality Control Technician will collaborate with team members in areas of process improvements, kaizen initiatives and reducing the cost of poor quality.
Responsibilities
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing quality inspection plans.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance of internal and external supply chain.
- Component Inspection, data collection, data trending and root cause analysis.
- CMM Programming and component inspection.
- ISO Class #8 cleanroom compliance requirements.
- ISO Class #8 component inspection & assembly inspection.
- Collaborating with team members to develop and implement improvements to reduce the cost of poor quality.
- Risk mitigation and counter measures.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with quality and safety regulations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Quality Engineer Requirements:
- Associates Degree in mechanical engineering, trade school or equivalent.
- 7-10 years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Comparators, Coordinate Measurement Machines, Gaging, Data Collection and Key Performance Indicator reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Must excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to Onkos Core Beliefs, Code of Business Conduct, all regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Support company advocacy initiatives to help raise awareness of sarcoma and pediatric cancer and drive positive change that will impact the lives of cancer patients.
- Travel requirement: Up to 10%
