The Opportunity:

Universal DX is seeking a Lab Ops Manager to join our growing Lab Ops team. In this role, you will work closely with the Lab Operations, Product Development, and Quality teams to ensure smooth laboratory operations You will play a key role in supervising day-to-day laboratory activities ensuring adherence to SOPs and safety standards, between others. Your contribution will directly support the execution of our Lab Ops strategy and enable the company’s growth and expansion in the Life Sciences sector, particularly across the USA and the EU.

How you’ll contribute:

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of Laboratory Operations Specialists, Laboratory Operations Assistants and Inventory Coordinator to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
• Supervise sample receipt, labeling, storage, tracking, and shipment activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety policies, and documentation standards.
• Support equipment maintenance activities, including scheduling calibrations and service visits.
• Provide oversight of inventory control processes, stock accuracy, and supply availability.
• Assist in resolving operational issues and escalating deviations or non-conformances as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, organization, and compliance within laboratory operations.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related technical field required.
• 4-7 years of laboratory operations experience in biotech, pharma, clinical, or regulated environments.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience with responsibility for task coordination and performance oversight.
• Hands-on experience with sample lifecycle management including receipt, storage, shipment, and disposition.
• Experience overseeing freezer management, cold chain processes, and inventory control.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance coordination including calibration and service scheduling.
• Experience working in regulated laboratory environments such as CLIA, CAP, GLP, GMP, or similar settings, with strong understanding of SOP-driven operations and audit readiness
• Familiarity with LIMS and inventory tracking systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities.
• Relevant laboratory safety, GxP, or supervisory training certifications preferred.
