AMI PTSI Operations - Field Service Engineer 1, Med Tech

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and entry-level Field Service Engineer (FSE I) to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for individuals with technical aptitude and hands-on experience in electronics, mechanics, or related trades. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing X-ray and medical imaging systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and basic repairs on X-ray and medical imaging systems (training provided).

• Assist senior engineers on complex service calls and larger projects.

• Ensure equipment is functioning within OEM specifications and meeting customer expectations.

• Communicate job status and updates clearly with dispatch, managers, and customers.

• Accurately complete all required service reports and documentation.

• Maintain tools, test equipment, and parts inventory.

• Follow all safety and regulatory requirements at customer sites.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or technical fields (military, trade school, or industry experience preferred).

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various hospital/clinical environments.

• Comfortable working around high-voltage equipment with proper training and PPE.
