Job Title: Intern

Hourly Range: $18/hr. - $25/hr.

Our product development team specializes in hands-on prototyping work and engineering solutions aimed at revolutionizing healthcare. As an intern with us, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment focused on creating impactful medical devices. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to various aspects of mechanical engineering and design, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting. You will work closely with experienced engineers on projects that impact products and services, contributing to the advancement of our engineering capabilities.

Position: Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to develop concepts and prototypes for medical devices and technologies.
  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, electronics, and software for medical devices.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to solve technical challenges in healthcare.
  • Support hands-on prototyping activities, including 3D printing, machining, and assembly of prototype devices.
  • Conduct research on materials, components, and technologies relevant to medical device development. Assist in testing and validation activities to ensure the safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance of prototype devices.
  • Document design iterations, test results, and technical specifications in accordance with company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate project activities and meet project milestones.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in medical device design and development.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field hands-on skills with experience in prototyping, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical and/or electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and design.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for innovation and a strong interest in the intersection of engineering and healthcare.
