Location: Remote - United States (East Coast preferred), with travel as needed to customer sites, conferences, and company meetings.

Position Overview
The Director, Business Development – Respiratory Clinical Solutions will drive revenue growth through the development and expansion of strategic sponsor relationships within respiratory and adjacent therapeutic areas.
This is a senior commercial role requiring strong respiratory domain credibility and the ability to engage scientific, clinical, and operational stakeholders in complex clinical development environments. Success will be driven by strategic account growth, scientific fluency, and long-term relationship development rather than high-volume transactional selling.
The ideal candidate brings experience in respiratory medicine, pulmonology, clinical research, or related life sciences fields, combined with demonstrated commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Development
- Develop and execute account strategies for pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors engaged in respiratory clinical development.
- Expand wallet share within existing relationships and cultivate long-term, multi-program partnerships.
- Identify new opportunities within named strategic accounts and targeted sponsor organizations.
2. Revenue Growth
- Own revenue targets and directly contribute to top-line growth.
- Lead complex sales cycles from early scientific discussion through proposal development and contract execution.
- Partner with internal leadership to structure commercially sound, scalable agreements.
3. Scientific & Clinical Engagement
- Engage therapeutic area leaders, clinical operations teams, translational scientists, and medical stakeholders.
- Represent Strados in technical and scientific discussions related to respiratory measurement and clinical endpoint strategy.
- Translate customer needs into internal product and operational alignment.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, R&D, and operations teams to ensure commercial commitments align with delivery capabilities.
- Provide structured market feedback to inform product positioning and future development priorities.
5. Market Representation
- Represent Strados at industry conferences, sponsor meetings, and respiratory forums.
- Support the company’s growing presence within the clinical research ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in business development, commercial roles, or clinical-facing positions within life sciences, healthcare, or clinical trial solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in respiratory medicine, pulmonology, spirometry, or pulmonary-focused clinical research.
- Proven track record of closing complex enterprise agreements (typically $1M+ TCV) within long (6–12 month), multi-stakeholder sales cycles in regulated healthcare or clinical development environments.
- Experience engaging with scientific, clinical, and operational stakeholders in pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulated environments.
- Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder decision environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in growing or scaling organizations is strongly preferred.
Preferred Backgrounds May Include:
- Respiratory therapist or clinical pulmonary background
- Pharma therapeutic area experience in respiratory
- CRO or clinical technology experience supporting pulmonary trials
- Medical device or respiratory diagnostic solutions experience

Compensation Package
Salary:
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and geography.
