THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to join our team. You will report to the Sr. IT Generalist and will provide technical support and assistance to users experiencing issues with computer hardware, software and network connection. You’ll be the first person they talk to when something goes wrong - solving problems, answering questions, and making their day a little easier. We’ll teach you everything you need to know along the way!
This opportunity is two-days/week and requires availability to be onsite.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
- Monitor the Jira ticketing system multiple times per day and resolve issues within SLA standards.
- Help users fix common computer issues (e.g., slow systems, login problems).
- Guide users through solutions via chat, email, or in-person.
- Document solutions so the team can learn and improve together.
- Set up and maintain computers and basic software.
- Support tasks like installing updates and managing accounts.
- Perform monthly updates to software repositories and laptop inventory.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly reviews of user accounts across multiple software platforms.
- Update and maintain equipment inventory, including preparing devices for deployment.
- Provide monthly reports on: equipment inventory (forecasting equipment needs), installed applications on user devices (audit and compliance), and user deletions or updates.
- Support user onboarding/off-boarding processes.
- Escalate issues to the next level when needed.
