About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal & Compliance Associate to support the legal, corporate secretarial, regulatory, and contract management functions of a fast-growing health-tech company. The role offers exposure to commercial contracting, corporate compliance, FEMA matters, fundraising transactions, intellectual property, and healthcare regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
  • Draft, review, and maintain standard commercial agreements including NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, and partnership contracts.
  • Support contract lifecycle management, execution tracking, and document repository maintenance.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for contract reviews and approvals.
Corporate & Secretarial Compliance
  • Assist in Companies Act compliances, board meetings, shareholder approvals, and maintenance of statutory records.
  • Support preparation of resolutions, minutes, and corporate documentation.
  • Monitor compliance calendars and ensure timely regulatory filings.
FEMA & Regulatory Compliance
  • Assist in FEMA-related filings and documentation.
  • Support preparation of information and records required for RBI and other regulatory submissions.
  • Track compliance requirements for domestic and cross-border transactions.
Legal Research & Advisory Support
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research on corporate, commercial, healthcare, technology, data privacy, and intellectual property matters.
  • Prepare legal summaries, compliance notes, and management updates.
Intellectual Property Support
  • Coordinate trademark and intellectual property filings.
  • Maintain IP records and renewal trackers.
  • Support documentation relating to technology licensing and IP protection.
Compliance Monitoring
  • Assist in implementation and monitoring of internal compliance programs.
  • Maintain compliance registers and documentation.
  • Support audits, due diligence exercises, and regulatory inspections.
Transaction Support
  • Assist in fundraising, investment, and due diligence exercises.
  • Organize transaction documents and data room management.
  • Coordinate with external counsel, consultants, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • LL.B. / B.Com LL.B.
  • Company Secretary (Qualified/Inter/Executive level) preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a law firm, company secretarial firm, startup, technology company, or compliance function.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of Companies Act, FEMA, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial contracts and legal documentation.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
