Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate AI leader who not only excels in technical strategy and team management but also loves coding and enjoys getting hands-on in building AI solutions. As the Head of AI, you will lead the AI technical development team and be responsible for the strategy, design, and development of novel AI solutions in the medical device space.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing the technical AI strategy and roadmap of the company.
• Design innovative AI-based medical device functionalities in line with customer and industry requirements.
• Responsible for the technical implementation of all AI projects in the company, with a strong inclination towards hands-on coding and problem-solving.
• Hiring, managing, and mentoring AI developers on the team.
• Setting up and enforcing company Machine Learning practices in line with medical devices regulatory standards.
• Writing patent disclosures and assisting with patent submissions.
• Assisting with the data acquisition strategy for development and validation.
• Assisting the clinical team with validation studies and writing technical aspects of scientific publications.
• Assisting the regulatory team with marketing approvals, including knowledge of CE Artificial Intelligence Law and FDA Good Machine Learning principles.

Technical Skills

• Proven expert knowledge in Computer Vision (AI and non-AI based).
• Hands-on experience in designing and training CNNs, GANs, and ViTs, LLM.
• Advanced knowledge of TensorFlow, Pandas, and Python.
• Expertise with Azure Cloud, especially Azure Machine Learning.
• Strong coding skills with a passion for prototyping, optimizing, and deploying AI models.
• Exposure to software engineering: ability to prototype web or desktop deployments quickly.
• Knowledge of data security and medical device standards: ISO 27001, ISO 13485, IEC 62304.
• Experience with filing patents and writing scientific publications.
