As a Product Designer at INBRAIN you will be an integral part of the Product Team, reporting directly to the Product Manager. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our Brain Computer Interface Therapeutics platform, which includes systems for both patients (e.g., implantable medical devices, wearables, and mobile apps) and clinicians (e.g., app and web portal) for remote monitoring of patients and treatment optimization sessions.

This interdisciplinary role requires expertise in both user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design to create cohesive and user-centered solutions. You will gather insights about users and their needs to inform the design process, evaluate the usability of products, and refine designs based on feedback.

You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market, making a tangible difference in people´s lives worldwide.

Main Responsibilities:

• User Research and Usability Testing
  • Conduct user research to gain insights into user issues, pain points, and behaviors when interacting with healthcare apps, websites, platforms, or systems.
  • Gather user feedback through usability testing and other methods to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with customer requirements and user needs.
  • Plan and execute usability studies, defining their scope and using the results to inform design decisions and align with product goals.
• Design Development
  • Create wireframes, prototypes (digital and physical), and high-fidelity designs to communicate visual design and functionality, including layout, typography, and color schemes.
  • Design a consistent, reliable, and accessible user experience across wearables, mobile devices, and desktop platforms.
  • Conduct design experiments, such as A/B testing, and stay on top of industry trends to develop user/patient-centered design solutions.
• Product Conceptualization and Strategy
  • Support the development of user requirements and contribute to the conceptualization of new features and product capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain a product design roadmap, outlining key milestones and dependencies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date competitor analysis, focusing on aspects relevant to product design and differentiation.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with engineers, researchers, data scientists, marketers, and other stakeholders to test, iterate, and deliver user-centered products and services.
  • Manage UX/UI-related suppliers and maintain strong relationships with customers to support design objectives effectively.
• Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements across all design deliverables.
• Branding and Communication
  • Contribute to branding and marketing communications through graphic and digital design, ensuring alignment with the company’s visual identity.

Mandatory Qualifications and Soft skills:

• At least 4 years of experience as a Product Designer, with expertise in relevant applications and a proven track record of designing and delivering products that have been commercialized.
• Experience in the healthcare or med-tech industry, possibly in designing products for highly technical medical applications.
• Fluent in English (company language).
• Demonstrated ability to interact and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including doctors, clinicians, and medical staff, as well as directly engaging with patients to understand their needs and pain points.
• Proficiency in UX/UI tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, Maze, Sketch) and the ability to translate complex user requirements into actionable design solutions.
• Familiarity with usability study planning and execution, particularly in a medical or regulated environment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and regulatory standards, ensuring high-quality outputs suitable for healthcare applications.
• Ability to bring creative, out-of-the-box solutions to complex challenges.
• High-energy, self-motivated individual with a proactive mindset, able to take ownership of tasks and anticipate project needs.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to document and share meeting outcomes to align stakeholders effectively.
• A strong team player who thrives in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have Qualifications:

• Affinity with web and mobile app software development (Android and iOS), with a willingness to proactively collaborate with development teams to create software with the best user experience.
• Familiarity with branding and marketing communication processes, including graphic and digital design.
• Experience working in a dynamic startup environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse responsibilities.
