We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support the commercialization and ongoing production of our medical device. This role is responsible for sourcing and qualifying suppliers, procuring materials, and ensuring inventory levels align with production and R&D needs. The successful candidate will manage supplier performance, mitigate supply chain risks, and partner cross-functionally to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and uninterrupted operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supplier Sourcing & Procurement

  • Procurement of materials for R&D, production, and general operations, ensuring adherence to specifications and project timelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks and improve cost-efficiency.
  • Act as a bridge between supplier and R&D by translate supplier capabilities (DFx) back into product specifications
  • Lead supplier qualification process to ensure all suppliers quality, regulatory and financial requirements

Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory levels for production essentials (e.g., PPE, solvents/IPA)
  • Monitor open purchase order, manage discrepancies in pricing, quantity, or quality
  • Manage ownership of Flosonics consignment inventory, equipment and tooling at supplier sites

Supplier Relationship and Performance Management

  • Support in the negotiation of pricing, payment terms, and service agreements
  • Monitor vendor performance regarding on-time delivery (OTD) and quality standards, conducting periodic business reviews.
  • Communication of supplier related defects (supplier corrective actions), delays and coordination of resolution
  • Work alongside R&D and Production teams to forecast material needs and identify alternative components when primary sources are unavailable.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business or related technical field
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and spreadsheet.

COMPENSATION:

The hiring range for this role is $70,000–$95,000 CAD annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business need.
