WHO ARE WE?

Endotronix is a medical device company that aims to transform the treatment of heart failure, a chronic, progressive condition in which the heart is unable to pump enough blood to support the body. Our Cordella Heart Failure System (CHFS) includes proactive management tools for best practice care and detection of worsening heart failure. These easy-to-use tools improve patient quality of life and help to reduce hospital admissions thereby reducing health care costs. WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Legal Analyst you will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad array of legal matters affecting a growing medical device company. The individual in this role will support attorneys on the legal team by assisting in preparing and reviewing contracts, handling contracts management tools, and collaborating with team members to ensure organization and efficiency in a fast-paced department. This position will report to our Corporate Counsel. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing clinical and commercial contracts, amendments, and nondisclosure agreements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and legal operations by overseeing organization and handling of contracts management tools.
  • Monitor critical contract dates and collaborate with legal and other business departments to address amendments, terminations, and extensions.
  • Track contract status, communicate status to internal clients, and collaborate with legal department to prioritize contracts and move them toward completion.
  • Support the gathering and recording of key contracts management metrics and perform analytics, as needed.
  • Support data privacy programs, policies, and procedures as needed.
  • Learn and understand the company’s products, business model, strategy, etc. in order to develop a deep understanding of the business’ contracting needs.
  • Participate in key business meetings, as well as required workshops and trainings to drive overall compliance to company policies and procedures as it relates to contracting.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, requested, and/or assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in contracts management, with a strong understanding of processes and procedures relevant to the subject matter of contracting, legal operations, and contracts management
  • Must have experience with various types of contracts, including experience reviewing redlines and preparing drafts based on existing templates
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with others at all levels, both internal and external to the company
  • Proactive approach, with high sense of urgency and results orientation
  • High levels of integrity, honesty and maturity
  • Able to manage a heavy workload of varying tasks simultaneously and work autonomously and/or in a cross functional team in a fast-paced business environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organization skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a medical device, medical technology, pharmaceutical, or biotech in-house legal department setting
  • Paralegal or contracts management certification, or at least 3 years working in a legal department in operations and/or tracking status of contracts
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act) related to contract arrangements with Health Care Providers
  • The preference is to work onsite in Naperville, IL; this can be a hybrid working situation.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
