Endotronix is a medical device company that aims to transform the treatment of heart failure, a chronic, progressive condition in which the heart is unable to pump enough blood to support the body. Our Cordella Heart Failure System (CHFS) includes proactive management tools for best practice care and detection of worsening heart failure. These easy-to-use tools improve patient quality of life and help to reduce hospital admissions thereby reducing health care costs. WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Material Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to meet demand, optimize resource utilization, and maintain inventory levels in line with company objectives. This role requires a proactive approach to monitor inventory, coordinate with various departments, and ensure efficient production flow within a medical device manufacturing environment.

  • Act as the ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance and support for ERP system usage and optimization.
  • Develop and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts, available resources, and production capacity to meet forecast goals per S&OP.
  • Coordinate logistics between Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Operations, and R&D to ensure work orders remain on schedule, and assist in ensuring proper resourcing
  • Plan, prepare, and issue work orders, ensuring alignment with inventory requirements and lead times.
  • Assign machines, equipment, and labor to production tasks, optimizing resource utilization to meet production goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure the supply of critical materials meets the company’s desired inventory levels for business continuity plans.
  • Identify and act on exceptions to demand or production schedules, addressing potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints as needed.
  • Create and review DCR documentation and work instructions to support ongoing process changes.
  • Review production documents and assist in addressing non-conforming materials.
  • Initiate and maintain a close working relationship and partnership with Quality to ensure prompt attention and action to issues related to materials while maintaining excellent product quality.
  • Generate regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as scrap tracking, on-time delivery, and production efficiency.
  • Analyze MRP requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity; determine future needs; decide minimum/maximum and economic order quantity; maintain MRP data.
  • Make recommendations for purchases and generate purchase orders for materials as required.
  • Ensure that all subcontracted materials and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure they can meet current and future demands.
  • Handle any issues related to inventory returns, replacements, and credit arrangements promptly.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Prior experience with inventory/supply chain management preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving, team building and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with a 1st or 2nd tier ERP system preferred
  • Proficiency with data analytics (databases, MS Excel, and presentations) and MS Office.
  • Knowledge and experience in a regulated production environment, preferably in Medical Device

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in the supply chain, business, engineering, or equivalent work experience is preferred
  • Professional certifications through APICS, ISM, and/or CSCMP are preferred.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
