Description
- Lead DermaSensor’s market access strategies, including reimbursement pathways, value propositions for payers, ensuring access across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and emerging healthcare models.
- Develop lifecycle strategies, identifying opportunities for alternative payment models and innovative access solutions.
- Anticipate changes in the U.S. healthcare landscape, including regulations and payer dynamics, to position DermaSensor for success in a dynamic market.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior executives and cross-functional teams, guiding strategic access initiatives and their integration into broader business goals.
- Act as the primary liaison with payer organizations, consultants, regulatory bodies, and healthcare systems, influencing decision-making to support early detection initiatives.
- Own the development of access-related business cases, working with internal stakeholders to balance strategic access goals and financial performance.
- Lead efforts to secure appropriate coding, coverage, and payment mechanisms, including collaboration with government entities and commercial payers.
- Monitor and address critical access challenges such as value-based care initiatives, concierge and direct primary care initiatives, patient affordability, and payer coverage barriers.
- Design and implement research-driven market access plans, segmenting stakeholders and tailoring strategies to optimize reimbursement and market penetration.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on U.S. access and reimbursement trends, influencing strategic decisions across the company.
- Identify and champion innovative approaches to enhance payer engagement and expand access to DermaSensor technology.
- Partner closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, finance, regulatory, and R&D, to align market access goals with company objectives.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders such as payers, health systems, and policy influencers to advance DermaSensor’s mission.
- Provide insights into market access opportunities during product development, ensuring early planning for payer engagement and reimbursement success.
- Engage and oversee third party firm(s) to provide billing and reimbursement support to customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in healthcare, public policy, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare market access, payer strategy, or a related field, preferably within medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
- Proven expertise in U.S. reimbursement and healthcare economics, including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and emerging payment models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior executives.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills, with a results-driven mindset.
- Experience with coding, coverage, and payment processes, including familiarity with CMS and private payer policies.
