Position Summary

Primary Duties
- Handles chemicals and liquid preparations common in microbiology laboratory setting.
- Prepares protocols and summary reports.
- Handles biological samples connected to human blood.
- Uses scientific techniques to assess bacterial samples.
- Designs experiments to investigate bacterial growth variables based on knowledge/experience of bacterial physiology.
- Works directly with internal group when needed for formulation, antibiotics, buffers, solvents and diluents.
- Performs documentation related to product development and support, including experimental planning and execution as well as creation of detailed documents.
- As team leader designs experiments to optimize technical performance (conduct and analyze relevant bibliographic surveys to support the activity).
- Serves as active team participant on conducted experiments.
- Generates documentation detailing established protocols and procedures in accordance with standards.
- Contributes to the continuous analysis process as well as to the interpretation of results together with the team and deduces conclusions.
- Contributes to the ongoing activities relative to laboratory operations.
- Performs routine product verifications under company procedures and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Training and Experience
Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical, BioChemistry
2 years of professional experience with Design and Transfer, Industrialization, and Blood Culture, AST
Preferred Education, Training And Experience
- Experience with analytical balance, pH meters, serial dilutions, stock preparations.
- Experience with antibiotic susceptibility testing methods and interpretation, VITEK 2 and broth micro-dilution experience

- Written Communication – including the ability to communicate technical data in written form.

- IMS collection tools include but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
