Position Summary
As a Registered Dietitian at Cylinder, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to members seeking relief from chronic digestive conditions. Through HIPAA-compliant phone and video sessions, you’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using motivational interviewing, strengths-based care, and behavior change models to support member’s goals.
Most members you’ll work with face conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, IBS, short bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, chronic constipation or diarrhea, gastroparesis, food allergies and intolerances, SIBO, and more.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience and ranges between $32.50-$36 per hour.
Responsibilities Include:
Deliver individualized MNT, including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, interventions, monitoring, and evaluation
Support members in managing comorbidities, dietary supplements, and probiotics
Apply evidence-based strategies (e.g. FODMAP diet, elimination diets, mindful eating) to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life
Use counseling skills (MI, TTM, strengths-based care) to help members move through the stages of change
Guide members in building self-efficacy and advocacy, while providing education, SMART goal-setting, and accountability
Document sessions in line with clinical guidelines and company standards
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal, coordinated care
Practice in alignment with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations, following our Clinical Pathways and scope of practice, while collaborating with or referring to other disciplines as outlined in our escalation guidelines
Maintain strict confidentiality of members’ Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and our confidentiality agreement

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field
Registered dietitian status certified through CDR
State licensure (as required)
Flexibility to work across multiple time zones, including evenings and weekends
Quiet, professional dedicated workspace with secure high-speed internet
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of outpatient dietitian experience
Master’s degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition
NBC-HWC Certification
Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Multi-state licensure
Training in MI, SMART goal setting, stages of change assessment
