About Circadia Health
Circadia Health is a growth-stage healthcare AI company on a mission to prevent avoidable hospitalizations and transform senior-care operations. Our Circadia Intelligence Platform combines:
Contactless sensing that monitors respiration and motion with medical-grade accuracy
Native predictive models that detect 85% of preventable adverse events several days in advance
Enterprise integrations that operationalize predictions directly inside EHR, care-coordination, billing, and compliance workflows
Today, our technology touches 40,000+ post-acute patients daily across skilled-nursing, home-health, and home-care networks. We are backed by leading healthcare and AI investors and headquartered in El Segundo, CA.
Why this role exists
Our models predict which patients are deteriorating. That prediction only matters when it reaches a care team member who is mid-shift and holding a phone. You will build that last mile: the Circadia Intelligence Platform that care staff act on, the software features around it, and the services underneath, carrying 70,000 years of continuous vital signs against clinical records from more than 400,000 patients. Every senior-care operator runs differently, so part of the work is deploying and adapting that platform for specific customers, then deciding what stays customer-specific and what becomes the next core feature.
What you'll own
- The Circadia Intelligence Platform. Responsive interfaces in React that care staff act on under time pressure, with state management, reusable components, and performance work.
- Backend and APIs. RESTful services in Python and FastAPI, stable as load grows from 40,000 monitored patients toward hundreds of thousands.
- Customer development and integrations. Features and workflows for named operators, plus integrations with PointClickCare, Homecare Homebase, WellSky and others over HL7 v2, FHIR, REST, SFTP, and CDC.
- Technical leadership. Architectural direction across the application, mentorship, and the deciding call when a design is contested.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years shipping production software full-stack
- Technical ownership of at least one significant production system
- Strong Python, including FastAPI and Pydantic
- 3+ years building production React applications
- Experience integrating with third-party systems you do not control
- Direct experience working with external customers or stakeholders
- Practical AWS, containerized deployment, relational and NoSQL databases, and test-driven development with PyTest
Preferred
- Healthcare integrations: HL7, FHIR, ADT feeds, EHR vendor systems
- HIPAA compliance or other regulated software
- Prior forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering
- Significant open source, systems that outlived your tenure, or a high-bar engineering background
