We are looking for a highly motivated System QA Engineer Intern to join our cross-functional testing efforts across the Beats family of products. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience safeguarding the Beats headphone and speaker product experience, taking on responsibilities that range from assisting in architectural investigations to debugging and issue resolution alongside industry experts.

As a System QA Engineer Intern, you will help verify the proper functioning and quality of key product features and software updates prior to shipping. You will utilize your growing knowledge of audio systems and Bluetooth technologies to assist in developing test tools, isolate defects, and collaborate closely with development teams to learn about and improve overall product quality.

As a System QA Engineer Intern, you will help verify the proper functioning and quality of key product features and software updates prior to shipping. You will utilize your growing knowledge of audio systems and Bluetooth technologies to assist in developing test tools, isolate defects, and collaborate closely with development teams to learn about and improve overall product quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist in testing key features of Beats products and software updates to verify proper functionality and quality prior to release.
- Contribute to the development of test tools, automation scripts, and other solutions to enhance testing efficiency.
- Help isolate, report, and track defects, and verify fixes through regression testing and other methodologies.
- Collaborate with development and cross-functional test teams to create, execute, and refine comprehensive test cases.
- Partner with engineering teams to learn, identify, and validate key features and their underlying system functionality.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's in Automation, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Academic or project experience with hardware and/or software development lifecycles.
- Experience in scripting and designing automated test cases using Python and/or other relevant programming languages (e.g., through coursework or personal projects).
- Familiarity with real-time handling concepts (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.).
- Able o travel as needed to support testing at Contract Manufacturer (CM) factory labs.
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in related fields mentioned above.
- Fundamental understanding of audio principles, Bluetooth technologies, and embedded systems.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with Audio Analyzers and Bluetooth Analyzers.
- Strong ear for sound anomalies and the validation of sound quality.
- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) through past internships or university projects.
- Ability to work independently, remaining highly focused and responsible in a fast-paced environment.
