Description

As a TPM, you will lead the conceptualization, development, qualification, optimization, and scaling of new process technologies and equipment for the manufacturing of new Apple products. This is a hands-on position requiring outstanding technical skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of modern factory operations.

Responsibilities

  • New Product Introduction & Ramp: Engage in NPI builds, review production processes and assembly equipment/fixtures from a manufacturing perspective, and drive critical issues to closure.
  • Factory Operations & Optimization: Manage hands-on factory operations and drive continuous improvement. Execute strategic goals to optimize production processes, increase productivity, and ensure business objectives are met.
  • Production Design & Simulation: Utilize production simulation and modeling to design, analyze bottlenecks, optimize capacity, and validate manufacturing layouts.
  • Quality & Process Control: Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and control systems to minimize variation. Monitor product quality across all yield and audit points to ensure scalability and product integrity in Mass Production.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Act as the technical bridge between Apple engineering teams and vendors. Provide input into global process, test, quality, and BOM management systems as they are enhanced or upgraded.
  • Digitalization & Smart Factory: Lead factory digitalization initiatives, including IoT integration, the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems, and digital dashboards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Industrial Engineering (IE), or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience supporting new product launches to mass production with strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical assembly equipment/fixtures, and techniques such as DFM, DOE, SPC, and FA.
  • Hands-on experience in factory operations, plant management, or industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in consumer electronics device development and manufacturing.
  • Passionate in AI/ML development and predictive operations.
  • Action-oriented problem solver adept at conflict resolution; able to use structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of innovation, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and flexible, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
