This is a visible and important role at Apple in China and will have great impact on Sales Team. The individual in this role will be responsible for interpreting quantitative data and developing statistical models to forecast and monitor sales demand & supply for sales analytics team.

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key responsibilities include:

• Design & Architecture: Design, build, and manage robust, cloud-based data warehouses and data access layers to support Apple’s global and regional sales teams.
• Pipeline Development: Develop highly scalable and secure data pipelines to ingest, process, and serve data from a multitude of source systems.
• AI & Automation: Leverage modern AI tools and techniques to enhance and automate data workflows, including orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.
• System Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing data systems to provide continuous improvements and ensure peak performance.
• Data Integrity & Quality: Uphold the absolute highest standards of data integrity and quality, ensuring all data delivery is reliable and accurate.
• Problem Solving: Solve tough technical challenges and critical business problems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Conduct in-depth and comprehensive data exploration on ingested multi-source data, combine business background and actual demands to carry out professional data solution
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data modeling and data pipeline development.
• Expert proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation, and strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.
• Deep understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL database systems.
• Exceptional data exploration and analysis skills, with a proven ability to uncover insights and validate data quality.
• Strong English proficiency, able to efficiently communicate and collaborate with global teams in English for daily work
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to apply AI-powered tools and methodologies to improve data pipeline efficiency and reliability.
• Detailed understanding of OLTP and OLAP systems and the differences in their application.
• Practical knowledge of cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Ali Cloud, or equivalent platforms).
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, data-driven solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
