We are currently seeking a Buzz Marketing Manager to lead seeding strategies, develop external partnerships, and execute buzz initiatives for Apple Watch and AirPods in the Greater China market. This role requires hands-on involvement, working daily with athletes, fitness experts, creators, fashion tastemakers, and celebrities to craft compelling narratives around Apple’s wearable products. These stories will highlight how Apple Watch and AirPods enhance health, fitness, connectivity, and audio experiences in everyday life.

This role will join the Buzz Greater China team, focusing on creating and implementing buzz initiatives for Apple’s Wearables business, with an emphasis on social-first campaigns. We are looking for candidates with an extensive network of external creators, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering impactful social results through cultural moments, lifestyle initiatives, and/or consumer technology programs.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about building long-term relationships with athletes, creators, celebrities, and cultural institutions across fitness, wellness and fashion. They should be adept at identifying innovative collaboration opportunities to tell Apple Watch and AirPods stories in a compelling way and maximize social impact.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with athletes, fitness trainers, creators, and lifestyle tastemakers to understand how they use Apple Watch and AirPods in their daily routines. Invite them to product experiences and hands-on sessions, inspiring authentic storytelling through real usage scenarios such as workouts, health tracking, and immersive audio.
- Partner with marketing teams to develop and execute strategic plans and programs with external partners, leveraging cultural and lifestyle moments such as marathons, fitness challenges, and fashion weeks to drive impact.
- Innovate in storytelling through buzz initiatives, utilizing media buys, authentic user experiences, and co-creation with our network of collaborators.
- Dive deep into relevant segments such as fitness, wellness, and lifestyle to identify new and creative ways to engage both established and emerging talents.
- Manage long-term relationships with buzz talents and negotiate collaborations with external partners. Address challenges from all parties and identify solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Monitor social media trends and track the performance of seeded buzz talents.
- Bilingual in Chinese and English.
- 3+ years of proven experience in the entertainment marketing, sports/fitness marketing, etc. in China
- Previous experience leading projects with top athletes, creators, musicians, celebrities, or leading brands.
- Established network across fitness, wellness, and lifestyle communities.
- Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for social media, creative storytelling, and relationship building.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic, creative plans.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling pitches, product messaging, and more.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, international, time-critical projects.
