Description

This is an exciting opportunity, to be part of the Apple TV Finance team. You will work with cross-functional teams supporting accounting responsibilities for Content Costs, Original Content Services and second market revenues. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to coordinating the quarterly close process for content accruals and amortization, review purchase requisitions/order for Original Content Services (OCS i.e. Localization, Mastering, Key Art, and Archival Costs), assist in accruals and title allocations for OCS, assist in customer set-up and invoicing. The right person for this role will be hands on and should be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while juggling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain contractual content commitments in the Content Asset Planning System used for slate planning and quarter close procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of forecast models related to content amortization and podcast content expenses.
  • Assist in the preparation of by title cost reconciliation across multiple proprietary systems (Content Planning, Third Party Payments & Production Finance).
  • Prepare quarter close journal entries for content accruals & amortization and journal entries for OCS accruals and title allocations.
  • Review and approve OCS purchase orders/requisitions to ensure they are in line with budgets, validating amounts, coding, and delivery timing.
  • Prepare or assist in customer set-ups, invoicing for licensing revenue arrangements, and coding of cash receipts
  • Actively engage with other Apple divisions and departments in coordination of financial information and deliverables.
  • Aid in the implementation, design and testing of Information Systems & Technology projects to support business growth.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc financial analyses, projects or overall team workload as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting/finance experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience required
  • Television production or entertainment media experience
  • Public accounting or large corporation experience
  • Experience with SAP, Tableau, and advanced knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, grasp new concepts, problem solve
  • Ability to work comfortably with high level of ambiguity and complexity
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • CPA

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $99,100 and $149,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
