Augmedics, a medical device start-up developing an Augmented Reality Guided Surgery System, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Yokneam.

As a Mechanical Engineer at Augmedics, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of advanced mechanical and electro-optical systems for AR-assisted spine surgery applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary mechanical engineering expert within the R&D team.
• Design, develop, and test mechanical components for AR-based surgical devices.
• Collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, and medical professionals to ensure seamless system integration.
• Oversee and coordinate work with subcontractors, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet project timelines.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping to refine designs and enhance performance.
• Analyze materials, manufacturing processes, and product durability to ensure compliance with medical industry standards.
• Tackle complex engineering challenges and provide innovative solutions to improve device functionality and reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a related field – A must
• 7 years experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in the medical device industry – A must
• Proficiency in Solidworks.
• Experience in designing multidisciplinary systems that integrate mechanics, electronics, and optics.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials definition.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead and manage mechanical design processes.
• Experience working with and managing subcontractors.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
